Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 500/t d-o-d on 2 Nov’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,000/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell in the second half of yesterday’s trading session. This coupled with limited scrap trading activities at current prices prompted suppliers to cut their offers.
