Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang fell by INR 500/t ($6/t) d-o-d on 8 July’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were recorded at INR 35,000/t($419.38/t) ex-yard. Demand for semi-finished and finished steel remained low in the region during yesterday’s trading session. Additionally, restricted scrap trade activity prompted suppliers to adjust their offers downward today.
