Melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat dropped today by INR 400/t d-o-d except in few sizes. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,800/t, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 41,800/t exy. The slowdown in the semi-finished steel market and lack of active transactions in the last trading session resulted in scrap offers edging down today.
