Melting scrap prices decreased by INR 400/t in Alang on 3 Jan’22. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at 37,000/t exw. Trade participants seemed cautious amidst mixed sentiments in the market and lack of trades in semi-finished steel. That apart, disparity in bids and offers prompted suppliers to lower offers.
