Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 21 Apr’26. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stand at INR 36,700/t ($393/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by INR 100-200/t in the region due to the moderate trade activities in previous trading session. Meanwhile, average trade activity in the scrap has prompted suppliers to reduce their offers.
