Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 27 Feb’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 33,500/t exy. Low demand for semi-finished and finished steel in yesterday’s trading session, along with limited buying enquiries for scrap in the region, have led suppliers to reduce their offers today.
