Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 12 Sep’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 31,200/t ($353/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices declined in yesterday’s session, driven by restricted demand. This influenced the scrap market as well. Amid moderate scrap trade activity, suppliers reduced their offers today.
