Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 28 Mar’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 34,300/t ($401/t) ex-yard. Demand for semi-finished and finished steel remained subdued during yesterday’s trading session, which, coupled with average scrap trade activity, led suppliers to adjust their offers downward today.
