Melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, slid INR 100/t d-o-d on 9 Feb’22. While HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,400/t, attachment scrap prices are at INR 41,400/t exy. The slowdown in the semi-finished steel market and lack of buying enquiries in yesterday’s trading session resulted in the decline in scrap offers today.
