India: Melting scrap prices extend decline on dull demand

Melting scrap prices continued declining on account of limited finished steel movement as inventory level soared despite adjusted production level in most of the major Indian scrap markets. However, a few transactions in the semi-finished steel segment were reported at lower levels, as per SteelMint’s assessment. Trade participants expect near-term scrap prices to see minor corrections with mix sentiments.
