Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market edged up by INR 200/t d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,200/t ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices in northern region rebounded in yesterday’s trading session. This coupled with active buying inquiries for scrap pushed suppliers to raise their offers.
