Melting scrap prices either moved up or remained stable on a d-o-d basis. Prices moved up in the northern and western regions following improvement in semi-finished steel prices amidst healthy finished steel transactions. Meanwhile, in the southern region prices remained unchanged on usual procurement levels. Prices in the short term may see a slight improvement, particularly in the Alang.
