India: Melting scrap prices edge down further on limited trades

Melting ferrous scrap prices corrected downwards by up to INR 500/t on 27 May’21 across major Indian markets. As per trade sources, scrap prices decreased due to bid-offer disparities, declining prices of sponge iron and limited trades in semi-finished and finished steel amid build-up in steel stocks. Prices in the near-term could fall slightly, trade sources informed SteelMint.
