Melting scrap prices fell across key regional markets in India on 6 Aug’21. Prices declined by around INR 100-300/t in most regions on limited finished steel movement amid nominal correction in sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices. However, melting scrap prices in central India’s Raipur market edged up due to inter-state scrap movement, trader sources reported.
