Shipbreaking melting scrap prices declined by INR 500/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,000/t ex-yard. Limited trades in semi-finished and finished steel material in the region in yesterday’s trading session and drop in global scrap prices forced scrap suppliers to reduce their offers.
