Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 300/t ($3.6/t) d-o-d on 15 Jun’24, according to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 37,700/t ($451/t) exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by around INR 300/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session. This, coupled with average trading activities, prompted scrap suppliers to reduce their offers today.
