Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market dropped by INR 700/t ($8.38/t) d-o-d on 24 Jun’24, according to BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,800/t exy. Demand for semi-finished and finished steel remained low in the region during yesterday’s trading session. Additionally, restricted scrap trade activity prompted suppliers to adjust their offers downward today.
