Shipbreaking melting scrap prices declined by INR 500/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,500/t exy. Despite the increase in semi-finished and finished steel prices, removal of export duty in last trading session in domestic market, scrap suppliers are witnessing limited transactions as the imported material is available at lower prices. It prompted them to reduce their offers today.
