Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 22 Feb’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 33,700/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 100-200/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session along with limited buying inquiries for scrap forced suppliers to reduce their offers today.
