Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market dropped by INR 200/t d-o-d on 18 Dec’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 30,800/t ($341/t) ex-yard. Trade activity in semi-finished and finished steel slowed during the latter half of yesterday’s trading session, while only average buying interest from local consumers prompted suppliers to lower their offers today.
