Melting scrap prices fell by INR 300/t in Alang, as per SteelMint assessment. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 36,500/t, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 37,500/t. Market participants remain cautious amid mixed sentiments along with a slight reduction in steel billet prices observed yesterday. Hence scrap suppliers reduced prices today.
