Melting scrap prices fell marginally by INR 300/t in Alang. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 36,300/t, while attachment scrap prices at INR 37,300/t. Trade participants seem cautious due to low demand for steel billets along with tradable discounts being offered from manufacturers as per orders and bookings.
