Domestic melting scrap prices observed a downfall by INR 100-400/t d-o-d, in most of the major consuming markets except a few specified locations of the southern region. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 25,100/t Jalna, INR 24,600/t Chennai (DAP). Adequate availability and limited buying inquiries in semi-finished and finished steel have led to decline in scrap prices, sources shared with SteelMint.
