Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market dropped by INR 300/t d-o-d on 7 Nov’22. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 37,700/t exy. Limited trade in semi-finished and finished steel in the last trading session along with dull buying enquiries for scrap amid weak sentiments prompted scrap suppliers to reduce their offers.
