Alang’s (Gujarat) shipbreaking prices dropped marginally by INR 300/t d-o-d. HMS(80:20) prices are assessed at INR 48,200/t exy today. Weak sentiments due to fall in semi-finished steel prices and limited buying by Bhavnagar-based IF mills at the current price levels amid scrap shortage at Alang plots weighed on its prices, SteelMint learned.
