Ship-breaking melting scrap prices declined further by INR 500/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,500/t exy on 3 Nov’22. A sharp correction in semi-finished steel prices was observed in north region yesterday which coupled with limited buying inquires for scrap forced suppliers to reduce their offers today.
