Shipbreaking melting scrap prices declined further by INR 300/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,800/t ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices are falling constantly and the spot market is witnessing low transaction volumes, forcing scrap suppliers to reduce their offers.
