Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang declined by INR 500/t d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 45,000/t exy. Limited purchase enquiries for scrap on higher prices along with limited trades in semis and finished steel in the northern and western regions forced scrap suppliers to reduce offers in the spot market.
