Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 30 May’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 32,500/t ($381/t) exy. According to sources, demand for ship-breaking scrap was limited. Additionally, some structural mills in the region have halted production due to prevailing market uncertainties. These factors prompted scrap suppliers to reduce their offers today.
