Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 400/t d-o-d on 3 Aug’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 35,100/t ($419/t) exy. Semi-finished steel prices decreased by INR 400/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session, driven by limited demand. Additionally, moderate trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
