Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 300/t ($3.6/t) d-o-d on 5 Jul’24. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,200/t ($434/t) exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by around INR 200-300/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session due to limited demand. Additionally, moderate trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
