Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 4 Apr’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 35,200/t ($414/t) ex-yard. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel slowed down during the late hours of yesterday’s trading session in the region. Combined with moderate trade activities, this prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
