Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang declined by INR 500/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 41,500/t exy. Prices of semi-finished steel improved in most of the key markets yesterday but limited inquiries and slowdown in scrap procurement during late trading prompted suppliers to reduce offers. However, trades have been recorded at current price levels for HMS 80:20, sources informed.
