Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 4 Jun’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,500/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell in the late hours of yesterday’s trading session and lack of trading activities at current price levels for scrap resulted in suppliers in the region reducing their offers today.
