Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang declined by INR 1,000/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 49,000/t exy. Scrap prices decreased despite moderate trades in semi-finished steel in the spot market. However, low demand for material due to prevailing high prices resulted in scrap suppliers to reducing offers today.
