Melting scrap prices increased by up to INR 700/t with major hike observed in Northern region. Prices in Western and Southern regions remained supportive and rose by around INR 100-300/t. According to some trade participants, scrap availability is moderate hence no major hikes are expected in the near-term considering limited transactions today specifically in Western region.
