Melting scrap prices fluctuated across markets on 18 Jun’21. Prices found support in a few markets such as Raipur, Alang and Chennai, moving up by INR 200/t on account of stable semi-finished steel sentiments. However, scrap prices corrected downwards by up to INR 700/t in Mandi Gobindgarh owing to a soft semi-finished steel market. Some markets in western India, too, witnessed nominal correction in prices. It is expected that prices may witness only minor changes in the coming days, trader sources informed SteelMint.
