India’s medium-carbon silico manganese prices (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) increased by INR 1,200/t ($14/t) w-o-w to INR 85,000/t ($982/t) exw-Durgapur on 6 Feb’25. Offers were at around INR 85,000/t ($982/t), and trade for around 11,060 t occurred at the same level. The price rise can be attributed to stronger demand and material shortages in key markets.
