India’s medium-carbon silico manganese prices (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) inched up by INR 500/t ($6/t) w-o-w to INR 84,000/t ($981/t) exw-Durgapur on 03 Apr’25. Offers ranged within INR 82,000-84,500/t ($958-987/t), with deals of around 7,300 t concluded at INR 82,000-84,000/t ($958-981/t). Prices rose due to increasing production costs, with the DVC in Bengal has increase power tariff by INR 1-1.20/unit, and a slight increase in high-grade Mn ore prices by MOIL.
