Coal India subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) has invited bids for development and operation of the Bhubaneswari Expansion opencast mine in Odisha. The project has peak rated annual capacity of 50 mnt and adjoins the Bhubaneswari, Arkapal-A and Sakhigopal-A blocks. The mine operator would be selected through a single stage two-part bidding process. The due date for bid submission is 11 Nov’22.
