According to the Indian customs, the country witnessed an increase of 33% M-o-M in its Manganese Ore imports in Feb’18.
India imported 0.24 MnT Manganese Ore in Feb’18 against 0.18 MnT in Jan’18, witnessing an increase of 33% M-o-M. Moreover, on yearly basis, Indian imports sees an increase of 50% Y-o-Y as it imported 0.16 MnT in Feb’17.
South Africa remains the largest Manganese Ore exporter to India at 0.16 MnT in Feb’18 recording a substantial increase of 77% M-o-M against 0.09 MnT in Jan’18. Australia, being the second largest exporter of the ore to India witnessed an increase of 67% M-o-M followed by Cote D Ivoire and Gabon which exported 0.01 MnT each.
Oswal Minerals was the largest Manganese Ore importer in Feb’18 – Oswal Minerals, India was the major Manganese Ore importer and has imported 26,221 MT in Feb’18. Other major Manganese Ore importers were Shri Girija Alloy & Power and Sarda Metals & Alloys.
