- Tata Metaliks has reduced pig iron offers by INR 3,000/t and fresh offers for basic and foundry grades are at INR 51,000/t and INR 54,000/t, respectively. Prices are exw Kharagpur, applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
- Vedanta slashed offers by INR 1,500/t to INR 61,000/t delivered at plants (DAP) in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The company’s one blast furnace with 400 TPD capacity continues to remain shut down, which was planned to resume operations from the last week of May’22.
- Declining steel prices and the recently imposed export tariff are weighing on pig iron prices.
