India: Major IF-mills raise rebar prices by up to INR 1,000/t in Raipur

Raipur-based Goel TMT has increased re-bar (Fe-500D, 10-25 mm) prices by INR 1,000/t to INR 56,300/t exw, while GK TMT has raised prices by INR 500/t to INR 55,800/t (GST and other charges extra).

The hike in raw material prices (sponge iron and billets) prompted re-rollers to raise their offer amid moderate demand.

SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 50,000/t exw-Raipur on 7 July, up by INR 600/t, d-o- d.
