Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd has decided to waive subsidy of INR 1.30/unit for two months (Feb to Mar’21) for manufacturing Industries on achieving annual cap of INR 1,200 Cr in Jan’21. The current charges stand at around INR 7-7.6/unit which varies depending on load and power consumption. However, this is less likely to impact finished and semi-finished steel prices as there is sufficient conversion spread, trade sources reported to SteelMint.
