State-owned miner Odisha Mining Corporation’s (OMC) chrome ore auction held on 16 Dec’21 received poor response, as per reports. The base price for the auction had been reduced by 7%. However, only 16,900 t out of the total quantity of 85,100 t got booked, while the rest of the material remained unsold. Chrome ore (48% Cr2O3 min.) was booked at INR 17,254/t.
