Melting scrap prices observed limited transactions today owing to farmers’ protest across the regions, mainly in north India. Meanwhile, in other regions, it increased marginally by INR 100 and INR 400/t in Chennai and Kandla respectively following hike in semi-finished and finished steel prices, trade sources told to SteelMint. A few market participants are expecting prices to remain range-bound.
