Today limited inquiries for sponge iron were noted despite a decline in prices by major sponge producers in Raipur. Only about 1,000-1,500 t deals of sponge P-DRI were reported today at around INR 16,100/t ex-plant. However, the market expects the price to remain supported looking at strengthening raw material prices as well as tight seasonal availability of sponge iron.
