India: LANCO floats Tender for Supply of Imported Coal

Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), a Lanco group Company, floats a tender for supply of imported Coal for Coal based power plant at Udupi (Karnataka).

Contract is on CIF basis for the year ending Dec, 2014.

General Condition:

  1. Bidders can quote in multiple of 0.5 MnT pa. However, minimum quantity of 0.5 MnT should be from single source.
  2. Bidder shall be “Established Coal Producer” with an annual production capacity in preceding 3 years i.e. from FY11-FY13of 1/2/3 MnT respectively in accordance with the offered quantity of 0.5/1.0/1.5 MnT respectively.
    Or
    Bidder shall be a “Regular Supplier” of bulk quantity of Coal having supplied annually more than 0.5/1.0/1.5 MnT respectively in accordance with the offered quantity of 0.5/1.0/1.5 MnT during preceding 3 years i.e. FY11-FY13.
  3. Bidder should have past experience in supplying Coal directly or through PSU’s to Power/Cement/Steel/Fertilizers/Industries utilities anywhere in the world at least under 2 long term supply contract (CIF basis) and also long term transportation arrangement.

 Specification:

  • Imported Steam Coal
  • Gross Calorific Value (GCV):  5,900-6,200 Kcal/kg
  • Moisture: 15.5% (max)
  • Ash: 12% (max)
  • Sulphur: 0.8 % (max)

Quantity: 1.5 MnT
