India: KIOCL receives establishment consent for Devadari iron ore mine in Karnataka

KIOCL has received Consent to Establishment (CTE) for the Devadari iron ore mine from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on 28 Jul’22 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The approval is valid till 26 Jul’27. The mine has a capacity of 2 mnt/year of ROM iron ore and 500 t/year managanese ore, with a 2 mnt/year wet beneficiation plant.
