South India-based pellet maker had floated a 50,000 t export tender with specifications Fe 63%, 8% SiO2+Al2O3 on 13 Jan’23. The tender was heard concluded at around $126-127/t FOB. The pellet maker operates a 3.5 mnt/year plant in Karnataka.
Chinese steelmakers are restocking pellets before the Lunar New Year festival on expectations of a market recovery post-holidays, sources informed.
